Don Riley, designer and manufacturer of Riley's Ropes for Fitness, is a commercial fisherman from Gloucester, Massachusetts.  After his hall of fame worthy athletic career playing  hockey and football at GHS, he continued to display athleticism at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  There he captained the 1973 hockey team, helped lead the 72 team to the Division II Eastern Championship and was a member of the NCAA Division II All-East team. Riley graduated UMASS with a degree in Health and Physical Education. He used this degree to coach football and hockey and teach physical eduaction at the high school level for over ten years. 
 
Now, a father of three girls, he is well known for his passion for healthy pursuits, such as:  surfing, skiing, mt. biking, tennis, golf, road racing and triathlons.  Not only does he engage in such activity, he is a role model and instructor to other athletes and enthusiasts of all ages.   As a result of his ongoing search for the best and most productive way of staying in shape, Riley has created the ropes and feels they are the most convenient and efficient workout for himslef as well as his peers. Join him in his quest for healthy living.
